ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS - -
The NU–VU® UB–12R is available in 208-volt or 240-volt configurations for a three phase power
supply only. The UB–12R can also be constructed for use with special voltage requirements (i.e.
480 volt). With the exception of the Heating Elements in the UB–12R all interior electrical
components operate from one power leg or the other, at 120 volts to neutral.
A check should be made to determine that the power source to be connected is the same voltage and
phase as indicated on the label on the side of the unit. If the voltage and/or phase is not the same
you should call NU–VU® for instructions on changing the voltage and/or phase of your power
supply or unit.
The UB–12R should be connected by a licensed electrician or installer according to all applicable
local, state and national electric codes. All electrical connections must be made with COPPER
WIRE ONLY in the correct gauge for the application. The unit may be connected either with a
plug-type connection or through direct wiring. Allow enough slack in the wiring connection to
allow for equipment to be moved during installation or any required maintenance or servicing.
Your licensed electrician should remove the back half of the Oven's top to expose the power
terminal connections. A wiring schematic for the unit is attached to the wiring near the Power
Terminal Block.
WARNING: DO NOT ATTACH UNIT IF THE POWER SOURCE DOES NOT
COINCIDE WITH THE UNIT LABEL!!!
IMPORTANT: ALL POWER SHOULD BE TURNED OFF AT THE MAIN
BREAKER WHILE THE UNIT IS BEING CONNECTED!!!
