TROUBLE–SHOOTING GUIDE
I.
If the Oven Power Switch is in the ON position and the Heating Elements
and Motor do not work:
A. The Power Switch/Circuit Breaker may be tripped. Set the Power Switch back to the
OFF position, then reset it to ON.
B. Check the main wall breaker or fuse box for a tripped breaker or blown fuse.
C. Check the electrical connections through the Contactor. All connections must be clean
and tight.
D. Check the electrical connections to the Oven Power Switch. All connections must be
clean and tight.
E. Check the electrical connections from the wall breaker to the Power Terminal Block
(refer to Illustration #2 on page 8). All connections must be clean and tight.
F.
Check the voltage at the Power Terminal Block and make sure it matches the voltage
listed on the side of the unit.
G. If all the electrical readings are correct as to voltage and phase, and all connections are
clean and tight, replace the Oven Power Switch.
II.
If the Oven Power Switch is in the ON position and you have slow
warm-up and slow recovery times:
A. Check for proper voltage, phase and amperage against the unit's label using a volt/amp
meter on the wires to the Power Terminal Block (refer to Illustration #2 on page 8).
B. Check the Oven Heating Elements in each side by removing the Outside Top of the
Oven to access the Heating Element wires. Set the Oven Power Switch to
ON
and then
set the Oven Temperature Control to 250
to activate the Heating Elements. Use an
ammeter to measure the actual amperage of each Heating Element. They should read
within 1 or 2 amps of the values in the table below. If they are much different that
Element should be replaced.
5200 watts
6200 watts
208 v
25 amps
30 amps
240 v
22 amps
26 amps
C. Check the Oven Temperature Control with a reliable and accurate thermometer or test
instrument. Place the thermometer or thermocouple in the center of the Oven and set the
Temperature Control at 400
. Read the Oven thermometer or test instrument
AFTER
the Temperature Control Indicator Light goes out and compare the reading to the
Temperature Control setting. If they differ by more than 10
the Temperature Control
may need a simple adjustment. Please call our Service Department for the proper
adjustment procedure before attempting to adjust the Temperature Control.
