If a template currently has cloned VMs associated with it, you cannot edit the template. The
following dialog box is displayed when you attempt to edit such a template:

After noting which VMs are involved, click

OK

to close the dialog box, then determine

whether you want to detach those VMs in order to edit the template. For more information on
detaching the clones from the template in the Development Client, see

Section 8.2, “Detaching

Clones from Templates,” on page 143

.
