9.7 Troubleshooting RSM Parsing

If the RSM stream is not being received correctly, the introduction BUI page will 
appear as shown in the figure below, with the card appearing in a red colour and 
the error message relating to RSM failure appearing.

If this occurs, follow the following steps to resolve the issue.
1. Ensure that the network interface connection between the SCCS server and the 

Nortel Remote Agent Observe card is up. This can be achieved by pinging the 
SCCS server C-LAN IP address from the card terminal.

->ping “aa.bb.cc.dd”,2

where aa.bb.cc.dd is the C-LAN IP address of the SCCS server.
If this returns successfully, move to step 2.
Otherwise, examine the Nortel Remote Agent Observe cabling 
(->linkGetOperation 0), Nortel Remote Agent Observe IP address (-> ifShow), 
and the network configuration between the card and the SCCS server.
