ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

MAR 2016 49457610 TRIPP HD RevB                                                                                                                                           7-17

16. Turn the Battery Disconnect Switch to the ON

position and turn the IGNITION switch to the ON
position.

17. Start the engine and charge the machine air

system completely.

18. Release the parking brake by pushing in the yellow

PARKING BRAKE button (on most models, some
may need to be pulled out)

19. Remove the brake canister release bolt from the

bottom of the canister.  Repeat steps 7 through 10
for all brake shoes that need replacing.

20. After designated brake shoes have been replaced

and brake canister release bolts have been
removed, select the DEADMAN mode from the
SERVICE/DEADMAN switch.

21. Set the parking brake by pulling out the yellow

PARKING BRAKE button (on most models, some
may need to be pushed in).

22. Remove all of the wheel chocks.
23. Machine is now ready for normal operation.

M5. Run Pressure Checks on Main Pump
and Propulsion

Pressure checks should be performed every 250 hours
or monthly after the engine and hydraulics have
thoroughly warmed up (oil temperature has reached
100°F 37.8°C minimum). Before performing these
checks, read and understand all OPERATION
instructions, warnings and cautions.

See Hydraulic Preface tabbed section, for detailed
instructions for setting hydraulic pressures.
