OPERATOR SYSTEM FAMILIARIZATION
IGNITION Three position switch.
OFF
Turns the electrical system on.
Turn full clockwise and then release to start the engine.
PUMPS Two Position Switch. ON/OFF. Controls the hydraulic pump.
OFF This switch must be in the OFF position before the engine
can be started.
ON This switch must be in the ON position during working or
traveling operations.
THROTTLE Two position switch. LOW/HIGH. Controls the engine speed.
Low idle. NOTE: This switch must be in the LOW position
before the engine can be started.
High Speed. This switch must be in the HIGH position during
working/traveling operations.
BRAKES Two position switch, DEADMAN/SERVICE.
DEADMAN Activates braking control any time the propulsion pedal is
released.
SERVICE Requires the use of the brake pedal in order to apply brakes.
TRAVEL/WORK Two position switch, TRAVEL/WORK.
TRAVEL Raises retracts workheads to allow insertion of lockups;
inflates air springs; disables hand controllers.
WORK Deflates air springs and enables hand controllers. Used
when working operations are underway.
Air Pressure
Gauge
Displays the system air pressure. Operation range is 100 to
130 psi. The normal reading should be…
ELECTRICAL
INTERLOCK
Under normal machine operation, the ELECTRICAL
INTERLOCK/WARMUP knob should be pulled out at all
times.
You push the button in to:
• Build air pressure during startup.
• Disable hydraulics and hand controllers.
• Enable parked regen.
PARKING BRAKE Two position button. Push in to apply the parking brakes
(used when exiting the cab is required). Pull to release the
parking brakes.
NOTE
Some systems use a knob that is pulled out to apply brakes.
Read the knob to know which applies to your machine.
