3. Feed rate and rotation time (Feed und RTime)
Cables with a hard outer insulation, strong shielding or soft dielectric can potentially be more diffi-
cult to process. In order to achieve high processing quality, it can be advantageous to adapt the
feed rate and/or rotating time.
This optimization can be programmed for all stripping steps (9) individually. When no values are
being programmed, the following values are automatically set as default parameters for standard
cables:
Blade feed rate (Feed)
Feed rate can be varied between
1 and 9
.
A low figure (1-3) results in
•
smaller feed rate
•
longer processing time
Suitable for easy to cut insulation layers and dielectrics.
A higher figure (4-9) results in
•
greater feed rate
•
shorter processing time
Particularly suitable when cutting shielding over soft dielectric.
Rotating time (RTime)
The rotating time is the duration during which the stripping head continues to rotate after the
blades have reached the programmed diameter. The programmed rotating time can be easily se-
lected according to the following table.
When cutting into shielding, on a soft dielectric or when cutting through soft dielectric material on
the respective conductors, it is particularly recommended
to increase the rotating time
.
4. Rotation during pull-off (Rot)
When
stripping stranded wires,
it may occasionally be of advantage to have the cutting head
rotating during the pull-off. Normally, the cutting head does not rotate during the pull-off the outer
jacket, respectively dielectric. This function can be selected for every step.
Program Step
Selecting
and Entering
Select the rotating during pull-off in the desired Step.
The display shows the Rot-Symbol.
The rotating during pull-off is deactivated by selcting the
Rot-Symbol.

5. Counter
The integrated piece counter of the ST730
T
shows on the display the number of cables pro-
cessed. The quantity value remains in memory even after the machine has been switched off.
