MAINTENANCE
The machine proper and safe operation is guaranteed by a careful and constant maintenance.
The following table sums up the scheduled maintenance. The indicated periods can change according to working
conditions. These must be defined by the person in charge for the maintenance.
All scheduled or extraordinary maintenance operations must be performed by skilled personnel, or by an authorized
Service Centre.
This Manual contains the Scheduled Maintenance Table and describes only the easiest and most common maintenance
procedures.
SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE TABLE
(1): and after the first 8 working hours
(2): contact an authorized Nilfisk-Advance Service Centre for this maintenance operation
SQUEEGEE CLEANING
1. Drive the machine on a level ground.
2. Check that the supply plug (22, Fig. C) is disengaged from the electric system socket.
3. Lower the squeegee (10) using the lever (19, Fig. C).
4. Disconnect the vacuum pipe (25, Fig. C) from the squeegee.
5. Loosen the knobs (11, Fig. C) and remove the squeegee (10).
6. Wash and clean the squeegee; in particular, clean the compartments (1, Fig. D) and the hole (2) from dirt and debris.
Check that the front (3) and rear rubbers (4) are integral and free from cuts and tears; otherwise replace them (see
procedure in the following paragraph).
7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
WARNING!
The operations must be carried out with the machine off and disconnected from the electric supply
system.
Moreover, read carefully the instructions in the Safety chapter before performing any maintenance
operation.
NOTE
For other maintenance procedures contained in the Scheduled Maintenance Table, refer to the
specific Service Manual that can be consulted at any Service Centre.

NOTE
The squeegee must be clean and its rubbers must be in good conditions in order to get a good drying.
CAUTION!
It is advisable to use protective gloves when cleaning the squeegee because there can be cutting
debris.
