The serial numbers are automatically linked to the telephone addresses. For the telephone interface with the number 72, telephone address 10 is linked
to serial number 1008, telephone address 11 is linked to serial number 1009 … This
serial number is only important when you want to program
using the service set (10-870):
1. Enter the serial number (e.g., 1008) on the service set.
2. Press the programming key on the service set (see manual).
3. Press the bell push button on the external unit to which you want to program the telephone.
If the correct telephone address is assigned to this serial number (see section 5.4.), the correct telephone or telephone group will ring
(depending on the telephone exchange)
