Pump down function
This function is designed to collect the refrigerant in the outdoor unit when servicing or relocating the outdoor
unit.
AMS 10-6
AMS 10-6 has no switch. Pump down is started by the indoor unit.
The pump down menu is only displayed when the indoor unit is set to additional heat only. The circulation pump
GP12 runs at 100% speed during pump down.
1. Close the liquid line valve 3/8’ (QM36)
2. Set the indoor unit in operating mode additional heat only
3. Select pump down 5.11.x.1
4. Select Yes at start pump down
5. The compressor will start within 2 minutes.

The function is stopped after 5 seconds if the low pressure is 0.087 MPa (0.87 bar) or lower.

The process from point 2 can be repeated again when the pressure has risen above 0.087 MPa (0.87 bar)
again

When the pressure is no longer rising after pump down, close the suction gas valve 5/8’ (QM37)
OTHER AMS10
1. Switch off the power to the outdoor unit for 2 minutes.
2. Close the liquid line valve 3/8’ (QM36).
3. Switch on the power to the outdoor unit.

Press SW1 (AMS 10-12/-16), SW9 (AMS 10-8) (see image) on the control board for at least 2 seconds, within
10 minutes of starting.
5. The compressor will soon start in cooling operation process 2, after which the compressor speed is locked
at 62 rps for AMS 10-8 and 55 rps for AMS 10-12/-16.
- Both LED flash (red/green) continuously.
- Both expansion valves are fully open.

The function is stopped after 5 seconds if the low pressure is 0.087 MPa (0.87 bar) or lower.

The process from point 2 can be repeated again when the pressure has risen above 0.087 MPa (0.87 bar)
again

When the pressure is no longer rising after pump down, close the suction gas valve 5/8’ (QM37) when LED
1 lights with a constant red light and LED 2 flashes green.
9. Switch off the power.
The function stops after 5 minutes, even if the low pressure does not reach 0.087 MPa, and if an alarm occurs.
