CONDITIONS WHEN DEFROSTING IS
STOPPED BY A PROTECTIVE FUNCTION
Defrosting is not permitted for 15 minutes after the
stoppage.
DEFROSTING FROM TANK
When the condenser’s outgoing or return temperature
is too low, there is a risk of the condenser freezing. In
order to prevent this, defrosting will take place towards
the hot water tank.

Tank defrosting
Defrosting takes place from the tank when:
• The return temperature (BT3) is lower than the tank
defrosting temperature
• Condenser out (BT12) is lower than 10 °C
• The return temperature (BT3) minus the condenser
temperature is lower than "Min. threshold value"
• Heating system blocked

Stop conditions for the compressor:
• If condenser out (BT12) is lower than 10 °C for 40
seconds after tank defrosting has been activated, the
compressor stops
• If condenser out (BT12) minus the return temperature
(BT3) is higher than "Min. threshold value” after 40
seconds after tank defrosting has been activated, the
compressor stops
The additional heat is activated if one of the alternatives
is fulfilled:
• The immersion heater sensor (BT19) is lower than the
tank defrosting temperature
• The return temperature (BT3) is lower than the tank
defrosting temperature
Oil return
This function ensures that the oil returns to the com-
pressor.
Cooling operation:
• The upper limit for compressor speed is changed to
A (rps) when the compressor has been working con-
stantly for more than 60 min.
• In the event of compressor operation below B rps for
10 minutes, the minimum speed is increased to B rps
for 1 minute.
• In the event of compressor operation below C rps for
2 hours accumulated, the speed is increased to C rps
for 5 minutes.

Heating operation:
• During heating operation, this function is a variant of
defrosting and occurs at 3 hours of accumulated oper-
ation.
• In the event of heating operation, the compressor
speed is D rps instead of B rps.
• The speed of the compressor is locked at 56 rps.
• The fan is temperature controlled.

The function stops:
• When overheating is less than 5 K, and more than 50
seconds have passed since the four way valve shifted.
