Quick start guide
Troubleshooting
Netbiter config cannot find the RCU:
•
Check that only one Netbiter config is running on the
computer.
•
Check the network connection; that the RCU is con-
nected to the network/computer, that the correct type
of network cable is used for the RCU, that the LED
”Link” lights green or orange on the RCU.
•
Only for direct connection to computers:
Check
that the RCU’s IP address is not the same as the
computer’s IP address. Action: Change the IP address
in the RCU.
•
Only for direct connection to computers:
Change
the computer’s IP address to 10.200.1.10 with Subnet
mask 255.0.0.0 under TCP/IP settings in the computer.
Restart the RCU.
•
Click on ”Advanced Options” in Netbiter, Check off
in ”Enable internal DHCP”. Press ”scan” in Netbiter. If
the RCU is found it means that DHCP is selected in the
RCU. If the DHCP is not to be used, close the DHCP
with Netbiter. Continue with network settings for the
RCU.
No page is shown when entering the RCU IP address
in the web browser:
•
Start ”Netbiter config” and check the RCU IP address.
If you must select the heat pump that you have:
It means that the RCU does not have any contact with the
heat pump.
•
Check that you have activated RCU in the heat pump.
•
Check that the LED ”Serial Link” on the RCU flashes if
any value is changed on the heat pump. If it is not lit
there is no communication between the RCU and the
heat pump. Check the cable and any joins. Restart the
heat pump.
The RCU does not respond to SMS
•
Check that the SIM card is correctly inserted, try mo-
ving the antenna to a better location, check that no
PIN code is required to use the subscription.
•
Check the settings for SMS in the RCU. Refer to the
section “Modem” and ”Users”.
If the RCU is to be connected directly to a
computer a crossover network cable must
be used!
