Web interface – Settings
Here the basic settings for network connection can be
made. These are the same settings that can be made with
the aid of the RCU configuration program.
Module
Under ”Settings” – ”Miscellaneous” – ”Module” informa-
tion concerning where the module is installed can be en-
tered. The information in the “Building” field is then used
when the RCU sends an alarm via e-mail or SMS.
The RCU can be restarted remotely by clicking the
“Restart” button.
Network
Only activate DHCP if a DHCP server is avai-
lable on the network.
NOTE!
If the RCU is to be reached via the Internet
it is important to configure a firewall that
will allow the reception of incoming web
traffic (port 80).
NOTE!
Retrieve system files:
Downloads files that can be used by Nibe for troubleshoo-
ting the RCU should only be used by service personnel.
Here the settings for handling E-mail can be made. This is
necessary for enabling the RCU to send alarms via E-mail to
selected users.
E-mail:
Activates E-mail function
SMTP server and SMTP log in:
To obtain the necessary information concerning your E-mail
settings for your network, please contact your network
administrator.
If the SMTP server is stated by name (instead of by IP num-
ber) a DNS server must be defined under network settings.
Sender:
Text that is displayed to the E-mail recipient instead of the
reply address. Example: ”RCU residential house”
Reply address:
E-mail address for the E-mail account that the RCU uses to
send e-mail.
The RCU can share the E-mail account with other equip-
ment, that is to say that the RCU can use an existing e-mail
account (for example one that you already have from your
network supplier) at the same time that it is used by you.
Note that the RCU cannot receive E-mail.
Note that the E-mail function requires that the RCU is con-
nected to a network
