EVC 13
The boiler temperature is controlled by the outdoor
temperature. The control equipment connects the out-
put in increments of 1 - 2 kW and adjusts to a suitable
output range. Limitation of the output is set with the
help of the “Output limitation” potentiometer, see the
figure. In order to give a balanced flow temperature
stepping is time limited to 3-4 minutes per output step.
When centralised load control or load monitor are to
be used, a conduit should be used when routing the
signal cables to the boiler. Setting of the load monitor
is done with the help of the potentiometer “Fuse size”,
see the figure. Connection of load monitor's current
sensor is made to terminal block (14) for the protective
low voltage, see the figure. Connection for centralised
load control is done with the potential free contacts on
the same terminal block.

The electric boiler is equipped with a time delay that
blocks a part of the immersion heater so that max
6.0 kW is connected during the first two hours after the
boiler has been disconnected. The time delay can
easily be bypassed by pressing the quick start button.
This measure can be used during service work and
when function testing the boiler.
NOTE! However, there is always 4 minutes between
each step size (see the table under the heading
“Output control immersion heater”). EVC 13 has an in-
tegrated self-test program. This is activated by holding
down the quick start button, and then pressing the
restart button. The quick start button is released first
when the relay switches. The self-test performs essen-
tial relay combinations. Once the self-test is finished
the electric boiler must be restarted.
