Electrical installation
EVC 13
15
■
If an insulation test is to be carried out in the building,
disconnect the boiler.
■
The boiler is connected on terminal (9) to 400 V 3-
phase, n earth via a distribution board with
fuses.
■
EVC 13 does not include an isolator switch on the
incoming electrical supply. The installation must be
preceded by a circuit-breaker with at least a 3 mm
breaking gap.
■
A boiler must not be connected without the permis-
sion of the electricity supplier and must be connect-
ed under the supervision of a qualified electrician.
■
When the building is equipped with an earth-fault
breaker the boiler should be equipped with a sepa-
rate one.
Selection of the max output is made by setting the out-
put limiter, see the section “Electrical installation” -
“Output control immersion heater”
.
The selected out-
put must be documented by the installer. An output
limitation of 9.0 kW is set at the factory.
All electrical equipment except the outdoor sensor and
the current sensor are fully connected internally.
Connection of the outdoor sensor is described in the
section “Controlling the flow temperature” - “Outdoor
sensor”.
The boiler is equipped with a load monitor and is pre-
pared for centralised load control and has equipment
for tariff control of the electric water heater as an extra
option.
Cables enter at the rear or top of the boiler, see the
section “Component positions” and “List of compo-
nents”.
Cable entries
Position “0”
The boiler is completely switched off,
heating can not be obtained. NOTE!
Terminal (26) is live.
Position “I”
Only the clock and tariff control of the
water heater, when fitted, are opera-
tional.
Position “2”
Normal operation. As position “1” but
with the clock, immersion heater, auto
mode and circulation pump connect-
ed.
Position “3”
Standby mode. This mode can be
used temporarily when something in
the automatic control system is not
working. Boiler/flow temperature is
controlled by the max thermostat.
Pump and immersion heater (limited
to 6 kW) are operational. A connected
hot water heater is voltage fed.
NOTE!
Check that the max thermostat is not set too
high. This is particularly important if you have a floor
heating system.
NOTE!
The switch must not be moved
from “0” until the boiler has been
filled with water. Otherwise the
temperature limiter, thermostat,
temperature gauge and the immersion
heater can be damaged.

NOTE!
Electrical installation and service
must be carried out under the
supervision of a qualified electrician.
Electrical installation and wiring must
be carried out in accordance with the
stipulations in force.
