6.2
Regulations
6.2.1
Prerequisites
Please note:
• Since the device dissipates heat via heat sinks, heat accumulation at the rear of the
housing should be avoided.
• Air circulation at the rear of the device must be sufficient to dissipate heat losses of 30 W.
• We recommend a system of forced cooling for the rear panel using e.g. exhaust air from
the air conditioning system.
6.2.2
Installation
• First, connect the grounding cable to the grounding bolt marked with .
• Establish the plug-type connections at the back. Secure the connections to prevent them
becoming detached.
• Lay the cable in such a way that the connectors are not subject to any tension or bending.
• Insert the device into the front panel recess. Screw on the front plate with four screws
(recommended type: cylinder head screw with hexagon nut according to DIN EN ISO
4764 (dx = 8.5 mm)).
• The device is now ready for operation and can be switched on.
6.2.3
Self-Test
After the supply voltage is applied the device performs a self-test. After this self-test, the
device goes into the normal operating status.
If the self-test fails, the boot-up operation is aborted. The device must then be returned for
repairs.
Disregarding these instructions will cause internal
overheating with the resulting risk that the PC section
will be shut down by the temperature management
system of the environmental controller.
