Manually Configuring Internet and WAN Settings

v1.0, January 2010

To manually configure the WAN1 ISP (dual-WAN port models) or WAN ISP (single-WAN port 
models) settings: 

1.

On a dual-WAN port model, select 

Network Configuration

 > 

WAN Settings

 > 

WAN1 ISP 

Settings

. The WAN Settings tabs appear, with the WAN1 ISP Settings screen in view (see 

Figure 3-1 on page 3-3

, which shows a dual-WAN port model’s screen). On a single-WAN 

port model, select 

Network Configuration

 

> WAN Settings > WAN ISP Settings

. The WAN 

ISP Settings screen displays. 

Figure 3-4

 shows the ISP Login section of the screen.

2.

In the ISP Login section of the screen, select one of the following options:

•

If your ISP requires an initial login to establish an Internet connection, click 

Yes

 (this is 

the default).

•

If a login is not required, click 

No

 and ignore the Login and Password fields.

3.

If you clicked 

Yes

, enter the login name in the Login field and the password in the Password 

field. This information is provided by your ISP.

4.

In the ISP Type section on the screen, select the type of ISP connection that you use from the 
three listed options. By default, “Other (PPPoE)” is selected, as shown in 

Figure 3-5
