To test the bobbin thread tension, suspend

the bobbin case by the thread and jerk it once.

Correct bobbin tension will result in the thread

unwinding only (3-5 cm.) If too loose it will

unwind continuously. If too tight the thread will

not unwind at all. When adjusting the tension on

the bobbin case, make only slight adjustments

with a screwdriver.

CHANGING THE NEEDLE

SOSTITUZIONE AGO

1. Raise the needle bar to its highest position.
2. Loosen the needle clamp screw by turning it

toward you (counter-clockwise).

3. Remove the needle by pulling it downward.
4. Insert the new needle into the needle clamp

with the fl t side toward the back.

5. Push the needle up as far as it can go.
6. Tighten the needle clamp screw snugly with

the screw driver.

1. Alzare l'alzapiedino e portare l'ago in posizione alta.
2. Allentare la vite del morsetto ago girandola in

senzo orario verso di sè.

3. R i m u o v e r e l ' a g o t i r a n d o l o v e r s o i l b a s s o .
4. Inserire il nuovo ago con la parte piatta rivolta verso

dietro.

Spingere l'ago in alto fino a quando arriva a toccare
l'apposito fermo.

6. Stringere la vite del morsetto ago con il cacciavite.

Helpful Hint: Placing a scrap of fabric

under the presser foot and lowering the

presser foot makes it easier to change the

needle and will preclude dropping the

needle into the needle plate slot.

Consiglio utile: quando si cambia l'ago,

posizionare un pezzo di tessuto sotto il

piedino in modo da evitare che l'ago cada

attraverso la griffa trasporto all'interno della

placca ago.

Always disconnect the machine from

power supply by removing the plug

from the electrical outlet.

Spegnere la macchina e

staccare la presa di corrente

prima di sostuire l'ago

Per verificare che la tensione del filo della spolina

sia corretta, prendere tra indice e pollice il filo

che esce dalla capsula e scuoterlo leggermente.

Se la tensione è corretta il filo deve srotolarsi di

circa 3/5 cm; se la tensione è troppo lenta, il filo

si srotola molto di più; se la tensione è troppo

tirata il filo non si srotola affatto.

Per eventuali regolazioni intervenire sulla piccola

vite posta sul lato della capsula; usare il cacciavite

e ruotare leggermente in senso orario oppure

antiorario per ottenere la giusta tensione.
