Configuring and Upgrading Your Computer

Caution:
Only install NECC approved memory modules to ensure proper functionality of your
notebook computer.
Follow these steps to upgrade the system memory.
Warning:
Always disconnect the AC power cord from the wall outlet and the system, remove
the battery and unplug the modem cable when upgrading one of the computer's components.
Observe the
"Maintenance Safety Precautions"

1.
Power off the system and disconnect the AC power cord from the wall and the system.
2.
Disconnect any other external devices.
3.
Close the LCD panel and turn the system over.
4.
Remove the battery. See
"Replacing the Primary Battery"

5.
Remove the three screws (A) securing the bay cover.
