Creating Your Master DVDs
1.
Start
Master DVD Creator
, and read the information contained in the warning window carefully. Make
sure, you have enough blank discs to create the Master DVDs.
2.
Insert a blank recordable DVD and click
Start
to proceed. The program will create one Master disc at
a time. A counter in the lower part of the window indicates the number of Master DVDs to create as
well as the number of Master discs created so far.
3.
When the writing process is complete, the program will automatically eject the disc. Label the disc as
advised, and click
OK
. Use a permanent pen to write on the DVD's label side.
DO NOT USE
STICKERS ON THE CD FACES.
4.
Insert another blank disc if prompted to do so, and click
OK.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 until all Master
DVDs are created.
5.
The
Recovery Options
window appears. You can choose to:
•
Keep the backup partition on your computer (recommended). This enables you to perform a
partial recovery, which is faster to do than a complete recovery and allows you the recovery of
your personal data. Smart Restore is also quicker to use.
•
Remove the backup partition from your computer. You will then only be able to perform a
complete recovery from the Master DVDs (no possibility to recover personal data). Smart
Restore will require the Master DVDs to run.
Select the option of your choice, and click
Next
.
6.
Confirm your choice by clicking
Next
(or click
Previous
if you wish to change your mind).
7.
Follow the on-screen instructions if applicable, and click
OK
to restart your computer.
8.
The computer restarts automatically. If you chose to remove the backup partition from your computer,
the disk space formerly occupied by the backup data is turned into free space. It will appear as a virtual
hard disk drive, and allocated a drive letter. Use this available space anyway you like.
Note:
At the end of the process, you can re-activate your screen saver and energy saving mode.
