Secure the cable with the screws provided.

Connect the other end of the cable to the printer.

Turn on the printer and the computer.

Locating the parallel port

Connecting a Serial Device

NOTE

Before connecting a serial device to the

system, be sure the serial device is set up correctly.
Follow the setup instructions that came with the
option.

Connect a serial device to the system as follows.

Turn off power to the system and to the serial device.

Connect one end of the serial cable to the COM 1 port
on the rear of the computer.
