Installing Options 5-23

Cabling an IDE Device

The following procedure describes how to cable an IDE
device.

Connect the signal cable connector to the matching pins
on the device:



Take care to prevent bending drive connector
pins.



Align the cable connector to the matching pins on
the drive.

Locate an available power connector coming from the
power supply.

Connect the appropriate power cable to the power
connector on the device.
