Using the Multi-purpose Tray
Use the Multi-purpose tray to print transparencies,
labels or envelopes (see note on page 6-2) in addition
to making quick runs of paper types or sizes that are
not currently loaded in the paper cassette.
The Multi-purpose tray feeds paper ranging in size from
A4 to Legal 14" and weights ranging from 20lb (75g/
m
2
) to 50lb (190 g/m
2
). The following table lists recom-
mended print media and the maximum media stack
height for the Multi-purpose tray.
Note: Wait until the printer has warmed
up and is ready to print before loading
paper into the tray. Do not load paper into
the tray while printing a job. Wait until the
printer finishes the run. WARNING! Do not rest your hand or
place heavy objects on the open front
cover or on the open Multi-purpose tray.
