Now attach the SaHoMa®-II housing to your horse. To do this, slide the SaHoMa®-II sealing ring in the
rear bulge of the SaHoMa®-II housing. Since you have not attached the SaHoMa®-II filter basket with the
SaHoMa®-II filter membrane yet, the horse can breathe in and out without any resistance.
Now click the quick-release fasteners on the left and right sides of the SaHoMa®-II halter strap into the
receptacles provided on the SaHoMa®-II housing. You can now adjust the SaHoMa®-II halter strap again,
as described in step 2, so that the SaHoMa®-II housing sits firmly on the horse‘s head.
Tip
You have the option of adjusting the SaHoMa®-II halter strap to the desired length before or after attaching it
to the horse‘s head. When used for the first time, it is recommended to adjust directly on the horse‘s head. After
initial adjustment, there is no need to adjust again the next time the halter is put on. Only minimal readjust-
ment may be required.
Product information
Instead of the SaHoMa®-II halter strap, you can also use the SaHoMa®-II fastening strap (Art.-no.: HM-217),
which is available separately. The SaHoMa®-II fastening strap runs along the horse‘s head behind the ears and
leads to a better hold due to a tighter fit, which makes sense especially when inhaling while moving.

2.4. Connecting the SaHoMa®-II control unit to the SaHoMa®-II housing
Slide the SaHoMa®-II control unit along the slide rails of the SaHoMa®-II housing into the provided opening.
The SaHoMa®-II control unit audibly snaps into the SaHoMa®-II housing and ensures a secure hold.
