6.3. Self-help: Troubleshooting
If you experience problems while using the SaHoMa®-II inhalation set for horses, the following table can help
you to find the causes and eliminate them.
Error
Possible Causes / Elimination
The display shows a light bar,

• The SaHoMa®-II mesh nebulization unit has reached the
end of its lifespan
• No SaHoMa®-II mesh nebulization unit is connected
• There is a cable break in the SaHoMa®-II mesh nebulization unit
• The battery capacity is too low for inhalation
Elimination:
• Check the connection of the SaHoMa®-II mesh nebulization
Unit and the SaHoMa®-II control unit
(chapter 2.8)
• Replacing the old SaHoMa®-II mesh nebulization unit
with a new one
(chapter 9)
• Charging the SaHoMa®-II control unit
(chapter 5.2)

6.2. Performing software updates
As part of the continuous improvement process, the software of the SaHoMa®-II control unit is constantly being
developed and improved. Existing customers whose SaHoMa®-II control unit is already functional with the
SaHoMa®-II mesh nebulization units (changeover from February 2014) can have software updates installed on
their SaHoMa®-II control unit and thus keep the SaHoMa®-II control unit up to date.
As part of repair orders, the software status is also checked as standard and, if necessary, available free software
updates are automatically installed.
To find out whether your SaHoMa®-II control unit is eligible for a software update, please contact us by phone.
To find out the software version, we only need the serial number of your device. This can be found on the under-
side of your SaHoMa®-II control unit, also known colloquially as the „battery“. There is a silver label on which
you can read the serial number as well as the manufacturer‘s details. Starting with „SN“, the serial number
consists of 6 digits. Depending on the age of the device, the label could look like this:
If your SaHoMa®-II control unit should undergo a software update, it is necessary that you send it to us together
with a repair form. As a rule, a software update including shipping takes approx. 5 working days in Germany.
