4. Tap
on
(Navigation).
The
N
AVIGATION
window is now open again.
The following settings can be used to prolong battery life in
Pedestrian
mode:
►
Dim Screen in Pedestrian Mode: You can enter whether the screen
is to be dimmed during navigation in
Pedestrian
mode if the device
is not operated and if so after how many minutes since the last
operation.
►
Save Energy in Pedestrian Mode (only NAVIGON 24xx): The
screen is illuminated only when you hold the device upright. If you
lower or tilt the device, the screen will be dimmed.
You can also switch off the screen completely in
Pedestrian
mode.
►
Press briefly on the
(
On/Off
) key of the navigation device to
switch off the screen.
This has no effect on the collection and processing of GPS data;
the map is up to date as soon as the screen is switched on again.
►
Press again briefly on the
(
On/Off
) key of the navigation device
in order to switch the screen on again.
I have accidentally activated demo mode.
If you have accidentally activated demo mode when you start the
navigation application for the first time, you can deactivate it again as
follows:
1. In
the
N
AVIGATION
window, tap on Options > Settings.
The
S
ETTINGS
window is opened.
2. Tap
on
Options > Factory Settings.
You will be prompted to confirm that you want the device reset to
the as-delivered state.
3. Tap on the Yes button.
The software is re-started and behaves as if started for the first time
after being purchased (refer to "Switching on the
NAVIGON 14xx | 24xx" on page 13).
Start the navigation software and set the Start in Demo Mode
setting to No. (Refer to "Starting the navigation application" on
page 19)
