Mounting Direction Options

Figures 4-1 through 4-3 show possible mounting configurations and associated fastener types.

Mounting on a Panel or Plate (Recommended)

If possible, NI recommends that you mount the sbRIO-9651 SOM on a panel or plate, as shown
in Figure 4-1.

Mounting on a Panel or Plate

The sbRIO-9651 SOM was designed so that you can use the 15.00 mm (0.591 in.) standoffs
between the carrier board and the base panel when the 7.15 mm (0.281 in.) standoffs are used
between the carrier board and the sbRIO-9651 SOM, as shown in Figure 4-1.
