Natcomm
OPERATION
When a visitor at your door or gate presses the call button on the NATCOMM Door
Phone Intercom, DS6 will Dial a User Pre-Programmed DTMF number. This number
can be easily programmed and changed by a User or Technician.
It will then remain ‘Off Hook’ until it detects standard AUSTRALIAN ‘Hang Up’ tones
from your telephone system.
Once the INTERNAL or EXTERNAL party answers their telephone, they will be
connected direct to the Door Phone Intercom so that they may communicate with
the visitor.
If you are using the LOCK CONTROL OPTION, you can also open a gate or door lock
during this call, by pressing the following DTMF Touch Tones :
**
opens LOCK 1
*
2 opens LOCK 2
*
3 activate LOCK RELAY 2 (leave it ON)
*
4 de-activate LOCK RELAY 2 (leave it OFF)
Once the CALLED PARTY has hung up, DS6 will detect the ‘hang up tones’ and then
terminate connection to the Door Phone.
Note - Due to the possibility that your PBX system may not output hang up tones, or
“AUSTRALIAN Cadence” hang up tones, a MAXIMUM CALL TIME has been set at
99 seconds. This time can be changed to any value between 15 to 990 seconds. For
further detail, refer to the section - Programming Options on page 14.
Note : You can also terminate a Door Phone call immediately by pressing any DTMF
digit from 0-9 just before you are ready to hang up.
