Installing VGA Drivers for Presentation Manager
VGA drivers are included for Presentation Manager
version 1.2. Follow the steps bellow to install the
Presentation Manager VGA drivers:
1. From the OS/2 DOS Compatibility Box, run the
SETUP program to copy the Presentation
Manager driver and monitor files to the
sub-directory.
2. Re-boot the system with the OS/2 Installation
Disk. When asked to press
to
continue, or
to cancel, press
ESC.
3. Change the display resolution by renaming the
default file and copying over the new file. First,
rename
to
Type
REN
and press
Next, change the name of the new file to
Type COPY
and press
E N T E R
( w h e r e
is the name of the new display
driver).
4. Change the monitor driver file by renaming the
default file and copying over the new file. First,
rename
to MONITOROLD.
Type REN
and press
ENTER
.
Next, change the name of the new file to
Type COPY
and press
ENTER
( w h e r e
is the name of the new monitor
diver).
Note:
If a MONITOR. DLL file does not currently exist
in the
sub-directory, simply rename
ap-
propriate new monitor filename to MONITOR. DLL.
5.
Re-boot the system for the changes to take
effect.
