3.5 Setting media
This section explains how to load and set media, and settings for each media type.
The following take-up units can be used with this printer.
NOTE
• If you are not using take-up unit, the print quality cannot be guaranteed.
• When using fabric media, always use the take-up unit or heavy take-up unit (both optional parts).

• Take-up unit (model VJ-16TUP30) for printer models VJ-1604: Referred to as "Take-up Unit"
in this Operation Manual.
• Heavy take-up unit (VJ-16TUP80) for VJ-16 series printers and heavy take-up unit (VJ-

Manual.
