2. Press the [+] key or [–] key on the operation panel to select an ink set that matches the ink setting
mode to be used.
Refer to the following table for each type of the ink set.
NOTE
• 4colorHead1 and 4colorHead2 settings are for inserting two types of ink sets that have different
characteristic into the printer simultaneously and switching them as needed when printing. For
details about switching the ink sets, refer to 4.4.6 Changing inks when using different types of
inks".
• If "4Color Double" is set, "Larger" and "Largest" become selectable in the DropSize menu. Set
"Larger" or "Largest" when you want to print through the thick fabric media.
Setup item Setting Description
InkSet 8color Eight colors (C, M, Y, K, Special color 1, Special color 2,
Special color 3, Special color 4)
6color Six colors (C, M, Y, K, Special color 1, Special color 2)
4color Single Different types of ink, four colors
(C-A, M-A, Y-A, K-A, or C-B, M-B, Y-B, K-B)
*For –A and –B, refer to the labels on the ink cartridge slots
or c of the step 13 of this procedure.
Insert two types of ink sets that have different characteristics,
each having four colors of ink.
When selecting Head 1, print out with the first type of ink (C-
A, M-A, Y-A, K-A), and when selecting Head 2, print out with
the second type of ink (C-B, M-B, Y-B, K-B).
4Color Double Same type of ink, four colors
(C-A, M-A, Y-A, K-A)
Set four color inks of same type (2 sets: 8 pieces), and perform
printing.
"Larger" and "Largest" become selectable in the DropSize
menu.
