5.3.2 Wiperclean at shutdown
When to perform?
A wiperclean must be performed daily when shutting down.
Caution
•
Do not touch the cleaning wiper or the head cap unit with your hands while cleaning the
cleaning wiper. Doing so may result in poor head cleaning because of oil on your hands.
•
Wear protective gloves.
•
Be sure not to pinch your fingers while opening and closing the front cover.
•
Please only use Mutoh water based textile cleaning liquid.
Procedure:
Step 1 :
If the printer is switched on, make sure of the following :
•
Printing or other operations are not performed.
•
Make sure that the display on the operation panel shows the normal status.
•
The FABRIC SET light on the operation panel goes off.
Step 2 :
Follow "Menu setup on the operation panel" and display the cleaning wiper menu on the operation
panel.

Step 3 :
Select "Yes" by pressing the [F2] key on the operation panel.
•
The printer enters the cleaning wiper mode.
•
The carriage moves to the waiting position for cleaning the wiper.
•
The following message is displayed on the operation panel.
Notes
•
If you did one of the things mentioned above, the carriage moves back and the printer returns to the
setup menu.

Press the [CANCEL] key on the operation panel.
o
Select "No" and press the [F1] key on the operation panel.

Open the front cover.
