Testing the web client and defining your first media player
To operate a unit in centrally managed mode it is necessary to define the unit in the central
management system before testing the unit in the field.
First try to connect to the digital signage management server (DSMS) using the web browser in your
PC. To do this you need to know the address for the content management server, have a username and
a password. These are provided separately as a part of the “Server account starting license” document.

It is recommended that you change password before putting the system into operation. How to change
password is described in Appendix 1 where you also learn how to add users with individually selected
rights.
When you have logged into the system you will first find yourself in the Units and Group Playlists menu.
The upper part of the menu contains media players included in the system (infrastructure) and the lower
part “Group Playlists” contain a summary of what content is used in the system.
The first time you log into the DSMS you will also find that there are no media players (units) defined in
the “Units” section of the menu.
