Preparatory steps

Allow HP system to cool down.

Shut off fuel supply to engine.

Remove cylinder head cover (→ Page 207).

Removing injector

Disconnect cable connector at injector (ar-
rowed).

Note:

Observe system pressure.

Slowly release union on HP line (4).

Remove HP fuel line (4).

Note:

When the adapter is unscrewed, the stored
volume of the injector is drained.

Remove adapter (3).

Remove screw (2) and take off hold-down
clamp (1).
