Motherboards

General
Description

The Vanguard 340 and 340 Enhanced motherboards contain different components.
Figure 2-3 and Figure 2-4 show the two motherboards.

Vanguard 340
Motherboard

The Vanguard 340 motherboard contains 4 Megabytes of Non-Volatile FLASH on
board and has 16 Megabytes of SDRAM (synchronous DRAM) on an attached
DIMM.

These components are included on the motherboard:

• Connectors for:

- FLASH expansion: 4 Megabyte SIMM on board

- SDRAM Expansion: 16 Megabyte DIMM standard

- Data Compression/Encryption SIMM (optional)

- Two Vanguard Daughtercard slots

- Fan

• A battery that provides power for the unit’s real time clock

• 10/100BaseT Ethernet (RJ-45connector)

• Control Terminal Port (RJ-45connector)

• DB-25 Connector
