2.1.2 Blower Motor Problems
The interface PCB is defective. Replace the interface PCB (see
Section 4.7.5).
The MFC shows a ‘Slow
Zerox’ or ‘No Zerox’
message The Zerox PCB is not connected. Check the Zerox PCB connection (see
Section 4.7.5).
The Zerox PCB is defective. Replace the Zerox PCB (see Section
4.7.5).
The MFC shows a ‘Motor
Stalled’ message. The Windjammer cable is not
connected correctly. Check the Windjammer cable
connection (see Section 4.6.1).
The signal interface PCB is not
connected correctly. Check the signal interface PCB
connection (see Section 4.6.1).
The PWM signal cable is not
connected correctly between the
creaser controller PCB and the
signal interface PCB. Check the PWM signal cable (see
Section 7.3.8).
The creaser controller PCB does not
send a PWM output. Check the PWM signal output (LED7)
on the creaser controller PCB (see
Section 7.3.8).
28V Rail problems
F2 Fuse fails regularly. Short circuit on 28V Rail. Check all 24V solenoids, 24V clutches
and 28V Rail cables for short circuits.
F2 Fuse fails when the
MFC is turned on. Interface PCB is defective. Replace the interface PCB (see
Section 4.7.5).
BIN # reset error
problems Bad earth connection. Check all earth connections, earth
plates and module fixing screws.
Electrical noise from a defective
static elimination system. Check the static elimination system
(see Section 4.4.2).
Electrical noise from defective
electrical component. Check all motors, clutches and
solenoids.
Feed bin control PCB is defective Replace feed bin control PCB (see
Section 7.3.4).
The MFC boots-up but
does not show any bins/
not all bins on the touch
screen mimic. The feed bins are not addressed
correctly. Address the feed bins (see Section
4.5.5).
A feed bin control PCB is defective
(all feed bins above and including
the defective one do not function. Replace the defective feed bin control
PCB (see Section 7.3.4).
Problem Cause Solution
The operation of the
blower motor is irregular. The motor brushes are defective. Replace the blower motor brushes.
The motor operation is
stopped, then starts
again after some time. The blower motor is overheating. Check the CAP cooling system (see
Section 4.4.1).
Check the air filter (see Section 4.7.7).
Replace the blower motor (see Section
4.6.2).
