6. General Procedures - MFC Test Program Description

6.4.4

The Page Tabs

The page tabs open special diagnostic tool pages in the information area.

The page tabs are:

•

The ‘EEROM Contents’ page (See Section 6.6.1)

•

The ‘Crease Tools’ page (See Section 6.6.2)

•

The .Inputs Display’ page (See Section 6.6.3)

•

The ‘Terminal’ page (See Section 6.6.4).

6.4.5

The Control Bar

The radio buttons on the control bar can be used to select the control type.

•

When 'PC Control Mode' radio button is set, the control buttons are used to
operate the MFC drive system.

•

When the 'Machine Control Mode' radio button is set, the control buttons are
turned off and the MFC must be operated from the GUI panel.

The 'Disconnect' button will disconnect the communications
connection between the computer and the MFC. This will not
exit the MFC Test program.

The 'Connect' button will open the communications connection
between the computer and the MFC. This will open the MFC
Test program when you start.

The 'MCW' button will open the 'Machine Configuration Wizard'
in a new window. The MCW lets you do the creaser module
electronic calibration.

Note:

The EEROM values are hard-saved and will not be erased when the power is

turned off. The EEROM always writes its values to the run memory when the power is
turned on. For example, if you reset the run memory values because you were
making tests, the saved EEROM values will be loaded into the run memory when the
MFC is next turned OFF/ON. If you reset the EEROM to the defaults values, these
values will be loaded into the run memory next time the MFC is turned OFF/ON.
