LCD Readings
The LCD on the TIY displays the input readings in
degrees Celsius, degrees Fahrenheit, or millivolts.
When the TIY is in any display mode other than
Quick Ranging, the LCD displays input values that
are electronically rounded to the nearest whole digit;
except for mV inputs, which are rounded to the near-
est 1/10th of a digit (e.g., 121°C, 1143°F, 56.2mV).
When the TIY is in quick ranging, the values dis-
played are exact to the least significant digit of the
display (e.g. 121.0°C, 1140.0°F, 56.2mV).
Standard and Quick Ranging
Ranging is a method of field calibration. The TIY
features two methods of ranging: Standard and
Quick. To use either method, configuration jumper
J305 must be removed or installed as defined in
“Setting the Configuration Jumpers” presented ear-
lier in this section. For jumper setting options (See
Figure 1).
