6.4.2 Installing in the surrounding
machine
The device is normally a design with shaft flanges
for fastening to the surrounding geometry.
1. Check that the seal in the flange surfaces is
firmly in place and, if necessary, fasten this
seal in place in the groove provided using
the approved lubricant.
Do not push or damage the seals in the
flange surface.
2. Join the centring mechanisms of the device
and the surrounding geometry.
If there are no specifications of the screw
quality in the relevant drawing, use quality
8.8.
3. Insert the screws into the drilled holes pro-
vided and screw them not the thread.
Adhere to the tightening torque values for
the screws.

2 Torque support
For a rigid attachment the operational torque has
to be absorbed using torsion-free torque bracing.
The support is provided by radial, torsion-free
transfer of the torques.
