The toilet is an electrically operated drop-through type toilet using approxi-
mately two quarts of water per flush. Wastewater is flushed from the bowl
through a hopper and drops directly into a holding tank. A flapper valve at the
bottom of the bowl holds fresh water in the bowl and seals out odors from the
holding tank.
• When the flush lever is operated, a motor driven cam begins to
turn which opens the flapper valve at the bottom of the bowl,
allowing the waste water to flow down into a holding tank.
Simultaneously the water solenoid valve opens, allowing fresh
water to flow from the rim and rinse the bowl. The cam contin-
ues to turn and the flapper will close after approximately 4-5 sec-
onds.
• After the flapper has closed, fresh water continues to enter the
bowl to a predetermined level until the timer allows adjustments
of the water level in the bowl to compensate for the water pres-
sure fluctuations. A vacuum breaker is provided as an anti-
siphon device.
Maintenance-
If the toilet is to be out of service for a period of time, spray
100% silicone on the flapper seal when the flapper is open to prevent it from
becoming dry.
NOTE: Holding flush lever down longer than necessary results in
excessive water usage.
The toilet should be cleaned regularly for maximum sanitation and opera-
tional efficiency. Clean the toilet bowl with a mild bathroom cleaner. Do not use
chlorine or caustic chemicals, such as drain opening types, as they will damage
the seals.
Clean out the system by flushing several gallons of fresh water through with
one cup of dry laundry detergent. Add odor control deodorant, in the amount
specified for your holding tank capacity, after cleaning and every few days dur-
ing use.
To find leaks, check behind or under toilet. Take four or five sheets of toilet
tissue and wipe all the seams and waterline connections. Start at the top of the
unit and work downward. When the tissue comes in contact with leaking water
it will immediately change texture.
NOTE: If the motorhome is in storage for six months it is a good idea
to spray sicicone on the toilet valve and work it back and forth, at
least once a month, silicone will evaporate in about 30 days.
