Troubleshooting
Diagnostic Alarms:
Display Shows
What it means
What to do about it
E.ConF
A change made to a
parameter takes a finite
time to be entered. If the
power to the controller is
turned off before the
change has been entered
then this alarm will occur.
Do not turn the power off
to the controller while ConF
is flashing.
Enter configuration mode
then return to the required
operating mode. It may be
necessary to re-enter the
parameter change since it
will not have been entered
in the previous
configuration.

Calibration error

Non-vol memory error

Invalid input type. This
refers to custom
linearization which may not
have been applied corrector

valid thermocouple or input
type.
Note: Some error messages may not appear, depending on the controller options.
5.4
Alarm Indicators
ALM beacon flashing red = a new alarm (unacknowledged).
This is accompanied by a scrolling alarm message. A typical default message will show the
source of the alarm followed by the type of alarm. For example, “ALARM 1 FULL SCALE
HIGH’.
If more than one alarm is present further messages are flashed in turn in the main display.
The alarm indication will continue while the alarm condition is present and is not
acknowledged.
ALM beacon on continuously = alarm has been acknowledged.
