MAINTENANCE
Section I. Before You Start
Precautions
DANGER
DEATH
may result from contact with lethal voltages inside the Control
.
Never
attempt to repair the Control with power applied.
Turn power to the unit OFF
before
starting maintenance work. Tag (and preferably
lock) the switch so that power is
not
accidentally restored.

Do
not
modify the unit without prior written approval from Unitek Miyachi Corporation.
x
Use the appropriate tools for terminating the connecting cables, being careful not to nick the
wire conductors.
x
Never
use paint thinner, benzene or acetone to clean the exterior of the Control. Use a dry
cloth or, if it is heavily soiled, use a cloth moistened with a mild detergent or alcohol.
Status Messages
Message Description
Auto Scaling
The LCD Graph display automatically re-scales during the entire reflow
soldering process to provide the user with a complete picture of the entire
process. This feature can be turned on or off by the user.
Calibration set to default
The Control must be re-calibrated after calibration parameters have been
reset to default value.
Cooling
The Control is operating in the Cool period.
Head is down
Reflow soldering head sensor is sending a signal to the Control indicating
that the thermode is touching the parts.
Heating Time
The Control is operating in the Preheat, Rise, or Reflow periods.
Preheat Time
The Control is operating in the Preheat Time period.
Ready
The Control is ready to begin a reflow process cycle.
Rise Time
The Control is operating in the Rise Time period.
System and Profiles reset to defaults
All system and heat profiles have been reset to default values.
