CHAPTER 3
USING PROGRAMMING FUNCTIONS
Overview
To ensure accurate, consistent soldering, the Control delivers extremely precise pulses of energy to the
reflow head. Each pulse is comprised of time and energy values pre-programmed by the user.
Chapter
1, Description
told you
where
the Controls and Indicators are located. This chapter describes
how to use
them in order to program the precise temperature profiles needed for reflow soldering or heat sealing
electronic interconnections.
Front Panel Display
The LCD on the front panel displays both the graphic and numeric heat profile information before a
heating cycle. It also shows the results of a heating cycle following its completion. The display has
several functions, depending on the active mode of the Control.
Run Mode
Press the
GRAPH
or
DATA
key to enter the
RUN
mode. With the graphic screen on the display:
x
Reports the current thermode temperature
in the upper right hand corner, the heat
profile number, the time and temperature
settings of the current heat profile.
