Name Screen
(Figure 17)
The Name screen allows you to change the default name
for each device to a custom name of up to eight characters
selecting from letters, numbers, and nine different symbols,
including a blank space. Use to select each letter,
then press ENT to move to the next position. Press
CANCEL to delete the current letter and move back
one character position. When in the first position, the
CANCEL button will return the name to the default
name.
Fixed Channel Screen
(Figure 19)
If the device being connected is a cable box and the “RF”
box (on the previous screen) is checked, the Fixed Channel
screen allows you to select the channel number used for
output by your cable box.

RF Connection for Cable Screen
(Figure 18)
The RF Connection screen displays only when Adding or
Changing a Cable Box. If your Cable Box is connected to
an Antenna input on the HDTV Receiver, select the RF
checkbox. Next, select the antenna input that is used with
the Cable Box. If the Cable Box RF is also connected to a
VCR antenna input, select the correct VCR name.
If your Cable box is connected using Audio/Video
cables, make sure the RF checkbox is unchecked. The
Connection screen will follow to allow the selection of the
HDTV Receiver input used with the Cable Box.
The following screens are a part of the Add device or Change device modes.

Connection for Device Screen

The Connection screen allows you to select the inputs
used with the devices that are connected to the HDTV
Receiver from Inputs -, Components & and Input-
DTV. It also allows you to select which input the device
is connected on the A/V Receiver. Add or remove check
marks to indicate what type of connections (Audio, Video
or both) are used with each input.
Note: Video inputs to the A/V Receiver are normally
used to transfer signals to the line input of a VCR for
recording. Audio inputs for the HD- are normally
used to transfer audio signals to the display monitor so that
speakers connected to the monitor can be used.
