Does the motor damper baf-
fle, for the chilled and the ice
making compartment, in the fan
grille open and close?
(Wait 1 minute for self-check).
(See “Self check method and
its operation, Ice making
test operation” on page 23.)
Connect the connector
properly.

Check that the winding of the
motor damper for chilled and ice
making compartment has a resist-

Is the 6-pin connector which is in the connector
cover in the back of ice making compartment
connected properly?
(The 6-pin connector is connected to the motor
damper. Refer to the figure below.)
Failure in the thermistor
Replace the chilled thermistor.
Check the chilled thermistor.
Dip the chilled thermistor into ice water (0ºC), and discon-
nect the 6-pin connector in the connector cover in the
bottom of the refrigerator control panel, and measure the
resistance between the (white) and (white) terminals.
• Resistance at 0 : Approx. 6~7 k
Does the motor damper have a sign of frost?
Frosted
Repair the frosted part.
Replace the motor damper for chilled and ice mak-
ing compartment.

Is connector CN5D on
the control board con-
nected properly?
Normal
The set temperature can be adjusted
on the operation panel. Page 20.
Note:
Replace the fan grille as the motor
damper for chilled and ice making
compartment is integrated in it.
Note:
Replace the control panel assem-
bly as the chilled thermistor is inte-
grated in it.
Is supercool chilling set?
Is supercool chilling set to
”Low”?
Open the refrigerator com-
partment door and attach a
magnet on the door switch to
check that cold air blows from
the outlet. (See 1.)
Release the supercool
chilling setting.
Proceed to [6] on page 36.
Only food around the air
