RS485/RS422/RS232 Parameters
BUS
Standard units are equipped with an RS485/RS422 interface. To operate in a 2-wire
configuration RS485 should be selected. To operate in a 4-wire configuration RS422
should be selected. For units equipped with the RS232 option this field cannot be
changed.
To switch between RS485 and RS422 on standard units:
•
Press the left or right arrow key to select the bus field on the display.
•
Use the up and down arrow keys to toggle between RS485 and RS422 operation.
•
Press “ENTER” to save the selection.
RS485/RS422 or RS232 Address
Units can occupy a remote address from 64 to 95 decimal. To select the remote
address:
•
Press the left or right arrow key to select the address field on the display.
•
Use the numeric data entry keys to enter the desired address or the up and down
arrow keys to increment or decrement the displayed address respectively.
•
Press “ENTER” to save the address.
RS485/RS422 or RS232 Baud Rate
To select the baud rate of the serial port:
•
Press the left or right arrow key to select the baud rate field on the display.
•
Use the up and down arrow keys to scroll through the available options until the
desired setting is displayed. The baud rates available are 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600,
and 19200.
•
Press “ENTER” to save the selection.
RS485/RS422 or RS232 Parity
To select the parity for remote communications:
•
Press the left or right arrow key to select the parity field on the display.
•
Use the up and down arrow keys to scroll through the available options until the
desired setting is displayed. The parity can be set to ODD, EVEN, or NONE.
•
Press “ENTER” to set the parity selection.
