Email Configuration
In order to receive email notifications the email client must be configured. What is required for
configuration is an SMTP server, any optional credentials for the SMTP being used, and a valid
from email address.
The SMTP server is a server that is used to relay email to a final destination. Most Internet
Service Providers provide a SMTP server to use for sending email. Please find the SMTP
server that you use to relay email, any username or password that may be required and enter
that information in the ‘Email Configuration’ page.
When initially configuring the email client it is often helpful to test that the email client can
reach the SMTP server correctly by hitting the ‘Test Email’ button.
When pressing the ‘Test Email’ button you will be prompted for an email address to send the
test message to. Please type in your email address and press ‘OK’. A test email will be sent
to your address.
If there were no errors you will receive a valid email test message. Once you are complete
with the configuration please select ‘Save Config’ to store the configuration.
