This Network Card comes with a built-in utility program named 
PageScope Light that makes it possible to use a standard Web browser 
to monitor printer status and change the settings of the Network Card. 

9-1 Operating Conditions

•

Network Card must have valid IP parameters assigned.
IP parameter settings are not required for a computer that has IPX/
SPX-compatible protocol installed and is using the Management 
Access Program (MAP) for access.

•

Computer must have TCP/IP installed and enabled.

•

Computer must have a Web browser installed.

9-1-1 Supported Web Browsers

The following Web browsers are supported for accessing the Network 
Card’s HTTP server.

•

Netscape Communicator, 4.x

•

Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x, 5.x

Using another type of Web browser other than those listed above may 
result in partial loss of some of the browser’s functions.

Note

• While using a third party TCP/IP software, a timeout may occur when 

a Web browser is being used to access the Network Card’s HTTP 
server under Windows for Workgroups 3.11.
