8-5-1 Installing NWSetup

Use the following procedure to install NWSetup. Use manual 
installation if the opening screen does not appear when you insert the 
CD-ROM into your computer’s drive.
1.

Load the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive of the computer you 
want to use. This should cause an opening screen to appear. If it 
does not, use manual installation described below.

2.

On the opening screen, click the 

Install NIC Utilities 

menu to dis-

plays the 

Introduction

 screen.

3.

Click 

Installation/Configuration Programs

 at the bottom of the 

Introduction

 screen.

4.

Select 

NWSetup Utility for Windows 95/98/2000 & NT 4.0 

and 

then follow the instructions that appear on the screen to complete 
the installation.

Manual Installation

Use manual installation if the opening screen does not appear when 
you insert the CD-ROM into your computer’s drive in the above 
procedure.
1.

Load the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive of the computer you 
want to use.

2.

Click 

Start

 and then 

Run

. Next, type the following at the prompt, 

substituting your computer’s actual CD-ROM drive name for the 
drive name 

D:

.

D:\nicutlty\Nwsetup\Setup.exe

3.

Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to complete the 
installation.
The default installation directory is 

C:\Program Files\Nwsetup.

 

You can change this to any other directory during the installation 
procedure.
