6. Printer Cleaning
!
By a regular and conscientious performance of the following
operations, the printer is guaranteed to always work at an
optimum reliability.
After the printing of about 20,000 pages A4 (print density 5 %;
compare chapter 10 Specifications) the components listed in this
chapter should be cleaned.
Please note:
The printer is provided with a so-called “Page counter”.
This counter is calibrated to 8.5” (measured in print direction;
corresponding to DIN A4 Landscape).
If you want to use the meter readings -- in case of printing other
formats — for an estimation of the “real number of pages”, the
meter readings have to be appropriately converted. For every
conversion you have to know the page length of the specific
printjob.
Example: In case of printing on DIN A3 (portrait) the meter
reading of 20,000 will already be reached after the printing of
about 10,000 pages A3.
- Use a neutral detergent or water on a lintfree cloth to
remove dust or grease from the cover.
- Do not use detergents or any other devices or tools not
mentioned in this manual to avoid damages and
unnecessary costs of repairs.
- Please be especially careful to avoid damaging
mechanical or electronic modules.
Turn off the SOLID F40 printer and pull the power plug.
Make sure, the printer has been switched off for at least 15
minutes before you start cleaning.
